Specs: Windows 7, 8GB
I am trying to generate a list of possible options for names.
As an example Johan
Johan smith
Johan Jones
Johan kirschner
Is that possible?

You could use the =CONCATENATE() function or the & symbol to combine text.

So with Johan in cell A1 in cell B1 you could do something like:

=CONCATENATE(A1," Smith")
just make sure you put a SPACE character before the name Smith,
else the two names will be pushed together.

A shorter version using the & symbol would be

=A1&" Smith"

If you wish to keep the names you have created,
you will need to do a Copy / Paste / Values on column B,
because as they are now, they are simply formulas, not names,
