I recently purchased a new computer, with an XP (vista downgrade) operating system, from Dell. I also purchased a new OEM version of Office 2003 (with code key and hologram) from Amazon. How do I install the OEM software on my new computer? Are there any issues I should be aware of that might cause problems (i.e.: operational, licensing, etc.) in the future?
I am gifting the computer to a friend, for her business, and don’t want her to have any difficulty with it – like it suddenly stopping to work or MS thinking it’s not an authentic version of their software because it wasn’t pre installed by the manufacturer or the vender I bought the software from.
I’m a novice, so please be understanding if my concerns seem silly.

Since the version of Office 2003 is an authentic Microsoft copy, just give the disk to your friend so she has it if she needs to contact Microsoft for an issue, or she wants to add more features.
