You need to read the small print on the box - many versions of Office allow you to install & activate on 2, or often 3 machines, but you'll need to confirm that before going ahead.

My old computer is not working. I moved the hard drives to another old computer. Now MS Office 2007 is not working. It says it has been activated too many times, but it is still on the same hard drive. It is a legal copy of Office. Also Excel 2007 was crashing all the time on the old computer. I rang MS and they were useless. I also emailed them and got no help. I think they have a hide to make my copy of Office unusable.
