I have a svg file. I would like to turn this into a png file with a different width and heigth. I've never worked with svg files before and have downloaded Inkscape to do so.

In Inkscape I select "Export PNG Image". I then get these options:

The problem: If I increase the width and heigth 10-fold in Inkscape, then export, then import the png image in for example Powerpoint, then the image is still very small. It's only 0,28 x 0,39 cm and if I enlarge it in Powerpoint it becomes blurry. How to solve this?

You need to increase the "Image Size" values in the Inkscape export dialogue before clicking "Export". Don't leave export set at default values.

You should find some good advice on the official Inkscape forums:
