Having just completed a 'compact' of my email folders. The last six weeks of emails in my inbox have disappeared. Any suggestions how can recover them ?

Go to the control panel and click folder options. View hidden folders. Go to your c drive and click documents and settings. Click the folder with your user name and local settings. Locate the identities folder. All e-mails in your inbox,sent,delete folders are there. They have dbx file ext.Export them into a file on your desktop and then import them back into your e-mails. Summary: The problem i have is that i can´t delete a half of all the messages in the outlook express inbox. Other options such as moving to other folders are well, but after moving i still can´t delete them....
