Just got a new machine with XP on it. It's networked with my other machines which are running Windows 98se. I did the import feature in Outlook to transfer my Contacts to the new machine over the network. The Contacts in Outlook on the new machine accepted all the data, but when I try to select an email address to send something I get the following message: ""The address list could not be displayed. The contacts folder associated with this list could not be opened; it may have been moved or deleted, or you do not have permissions"". Still all the info is viewable in Contacts, it's just not tranferring into the address list. What do I have to do ? Is there somewhere I need to set permissions ?

Go into your Outlook and delete the Outlook Address Book in the list of services. Reopen Outlook, then close again. Add the Service back in, and then reopen Outlook again. That should take care of it.
