IMAP: Where are deleted Emails

Specs: XP SP 2, N/A

Hi all,

I have IMAP email configured on Outlook 2003. When deleting an email it doesn't post in the trash folder. As a matter of fact, since configuring IMAP about a month ago, no deleted emails from the past are showing in the trash folder. I want any deleted emails to show in my trash folder and when I'm ready to purge I will do so.

All help is major appreciated,

There is no "Trash" folder in Outlook. IMAP messages will not show in the Deleted Items folder. They will show in the Inbox with a line through them until they are purged.

Thanks for the response Jennifer... so let me ask you this then... Can I create a rule in Outlook 2003 when deleting an email to move it to "trash" folder?

For IMAP messages? Or for POP messages? And, do you mean you want to create a Trash Folder?
