If I'm working in a Word 2003 document that has JPEG images included, everytime I scroll the images disappear. I can click in the blank space and it selects them (ie, I can see the little resize squares etc around the image), but the image itself is invisible.
I have to save, close, and reopen the document to see the images again. And then of course they turn invisible as soon as I scroll.
The images I'm using are of small filesizes (JPEGs of 50kb or less), and at this stage I haven't resized any of them.
I'm working on a fairly powerful computer, however I've observed this same problem happening in less powerful computers too.
Can anyone help?

Try right clicking on Desktop-Properties-Settings-Advanced-troubleshoot-scroll teh hardware notch to the left (2nd notch from left).
Good luck...let me know how you go.

Hi Rosieab
Thanks for your help. I followed your suggestion and amazingly it resolved the problem.
But then strangely, I thought I should return the acceleration to maximum and try opening the word doc again, and it still worked.
So now I'm not sure if changing the acceleration actually did help - or had the problem self-rectified in the meantime? What do you think?
Also, on the acceleration slider it says that 2nd notch from the left leaves the system at a minimum funcionality - are there any great implications to this, or should I leave it at that low level permanently?
