IF X text then use Y formula in Excel.

Hi, looking for help with this formula.

If cell A says "Apples" multiply cell B by .20. If cell A says "Bananas" then multiply cell B by .30.

And would it be the same thing if I wanted to add more dimensions?

e.g. Additionally, if cell A says "Strawberries" then multiply by .4

Look up the IF function in the Excel help files.

It's pretty straight forward.
