if then statement for range of text

Specs: Windows 7, core i5
I have a range of cells in Excel that contain the text LOW, MEDIUM, HIGH. I would like to create a formula that scans the range to pick out the highest text value from the range and write it to a new cell. Can this be done with an IF statement?

When you say "highest text value" do you mean that you want to return HIGH if it exists in the range, MEDIUM if it doesn't and LOW if neither exists?

This will do that:
