I am trying to create a formula for a timesheet. The EE would enter todays date, then I want a cell with formula, to automaticlly determine the Period end date, which is always on Sunday.
Example. If the EE enters 11/21/12, return period end date of 11/25/12. If employee enters 11/25/12, return 11/25/12.Another option is using a drop down box to select the weekending date, but needs to default on top of the list the dates closest to date current weekending.

You question is not clear to me. You used 2 terms in your question: "period end date" and "weekending date".
Are those the same thing?
11/25/12 is a Sunday. Do all of your "period end dates" fall on a Sunday? Is every Sunday a "period end date" (weekending date?)?
