i just upgraded from office xp to 2003, now everytime i open a doccument it trys to scan for viruses, well, my norton expired so i disabled it from startup in msconfig (there is no uninstaller for it), now it just locks up, is there a way i can keep it from requesting a virus scan?
well i truely do thank you for the help, however, this wouldnt have helped me anyway, mine was norton 2005, that file works for 2003 and earlier. but i figured out another way of removing it, i found the cd i used to install it, when i put it in it gave me the option to remove it, now i use fre avg software for virus scanning.
