Solved I get an error (given below) while starting Outlook 2003

Specs: Windows 7
OS: Widows 7
Office 2003 Pro
I get the following error when i try to send/receive mail from my gmail account through Outlook client.

Task ' - Receiving' reported error (0x800408FC) : 'The server name you entered can not be found on the network (it might be down temporarily). Please verify that you are online and that the server name is correct.'

I think GMAIL is not supporting old mail clients anymore. Try upgrading to Outlook 2010 or even 2013.

Hello earlpg,

Before changing to a new version of Outlook, I reconfigured my network adapter with IPv6 unselected. Now Gmail works with Outlook 2003.
