|How is your email account configured? Are you using IMAP/POP3 to connect to your server or Exchange? Do you have control over the mail server and/or network? When was the last time you were able to receive messages properly? Has anything that you know of changed around the time that you first started to experience the problem?|
Typically when we see messages coming in as attachments, they will have a name like ATT0001.DAT or something similar. In most cases, there is a firewall (usually a Cisco device) that is inspecting the mail traffic and messing with the encapsulation before it is hitting the mail server.
