Comment:
In the release of Office 2003 and possibly Office XP users who are creating a Word document are unable to simply click on a hyperlink in the document, they must hold the CTRL key the click the link in order to activate it. Is there an option to turn this off so that the link can simply be clicked on.

Does the URL text actually show highlighted as a clickable link, or is it just showing as regular text?

Yes, it shows as a hyperlink, not just regular text. If you scroll over it you are given a tip telling you to hold CTRL while clicking to activate the link.
Thanks, broomec

In Word, go to Tools, Options. Click on the Edit tab and take the checkmark out of the "Use CTRL + Click to follow hyperlink" option.
