Comment:

Just bought a HP Pavilion dv6-1268nr running Vista Home Premium. I would like to make some recovery disks. I also got software for MS Office Home and Student 07. Can I make the recovery disks after installing Office or is it better to make them before the Office install?

If I had the proper Office install disks and legal product keys, I would keep regular backups of my Office documents and do a fresh install of Office if I ever had to rebuild my system. (That's what I do.)

See this thread for an idea on how Office behaves (badly) after a disk cloning.

I would imagine it would act just as badly if restored via a recovery CD.
