How to paste animated gif image ?

Specs: Windows XP, 2096
Hi everyone!

Just for curiosity: how to paste the animated *.gif image into the email under Windows Live Mail?

In the Outlook Express 6.0 there was a button on the right side of the "paste link" and now it disappeared somehow...

Any Ideas?

Thanks a lot in advance!

I can't tell you how to paste the animated gif, but I will point out why it might not be such a good idea.

What you send may not be what the recipient sees.

The presentation of the email to the recipient is primarily based on the recipient's email client and secondarily based on what was sent.

With the myriad of email clients available I doubt that you will be able to format an email that will present itself the same way to all recipients.

Thunderbird
Outlook
Cell Phone based
Blackberry based
Yahoo, Hotmail, gmail, etc

What you think is a great looking (or even professional looking) email may end up looking annoying (read: non-professional) to the recipient.

"Keep It Simple" really works in this case.

Hi DerbyDad,

Please don't be offeneded but you answer was typical for some visitors to this forum, I'm sorry.
I ask something and I get the long answer about something else.
Of course, I know everything you wrote (possible non compatibility of e-mail clients, what looks fine for me may look irritating for someone else, etc.)
But my question was: how to do this and this and you spent your time writing me things that were not asked.

;-)

FYI: I've been asking this because I often use emoticons in the correspondence within a group of my friends and they really like them very much (believe me) so changing the platform from OE 6 to Windows Live Mail I thought it would be at least as functional as the old version especially that they announced that the "old" one may just go into retirement.
