how to move a file from one computer drive to

March 13, 2011 at 17:26:05
Specs: Windows XP
I like to back-up my data in Microsoft Outlook. I purchased an external hard drive from Lacie which became drive L/ All went well until recently when my wife used a USB to work on some files from her work. Somehow drive L/ has now become a removable disc, and the back-up I had in place for Microsoft Outlook no longer recognises drive L.

How can I resolve this issue?

Try right-click on the drive letter and choose Reject.

Sorry, I already tried that on my own, and it didn't resolve the issue. I now get error messages saying "L/ refers to a location that is unavailable .. " Since drive L is no longer available my Lacie external drive now shows up on G drive, but when I try to back-up Outlook data to Lacie I get the error message "the path specified for the file G:|Outlook backup is not valid".

Do you have any further thoughts/recommendations?
