I understand your question and I would also like to know if there's a solution for this. I have several texts in word and when I change assumptions in excel spreadsheets, I would like certain numbers in the middle of the word text to be updated automatically. If you find this, pls post it here. Tks.

I found out, you should copy (in xls) and paste/special/links/excel spreadsheet (in doc), the problem is the formatting.
