Subject: How to create a folded booklet??? OS: Windows XP Professional CPU/Ram: Intell

Comment: I am looking for detailed instructions on how to produce a folded booklet using MS Word 2003 (on Windows XP Professional). The online Help instructions are typically vague and un-helpful. The problem is specifically, trying to coordinate the pagination of the two-pages-per-sheet (front & back) printing using a desk-top printer which only prints on one side of a page. This means the correct sequence of pages have to be printed on one side of the paper and then the sheets put back in the printed face down to print the oposing pages on the other side of the sheets. I am having endless problems getting the page numbers in the right sequence so that they read in the correct order. Anyone have a lead on a good set of detailed instructions? Thanks!

Reply: I am not so sure of your problem but how about an alternative method? First print all the odd numbered pages. Place them all back into the printer and then print all of the even numbered pages. Also add the page numbers to your footers to be sure of the order when done. HTH Bryan

Reply: First make a dummy bookled and number the pages then dissassemble. The pages should be as follows: ex 8 pages - 2 sheets sheet-1 front pages 8&1 back pages 2&7 sheet-2 front pages 6&3 back pages 4&5 Remember 4 pages per sheet 2 pages per side Don't use any auto formatting, insert page break at end of each page. After you have all the pages laid out, cut and paste the pages into another document with the same page format. I originally thought there was a wizard in word but couldn't find it.

Reply: Hi All Ok I know this is not really an answer but try to get hold of MS Publisher that will make light work of what you want to achieve. On a hot summers night would you offer your throat to the Wolf with the Red Roses?
