The shortcuts to it's various modules should be in the All Programs list:

Start Button >> All Programs

The list of folders are in alphabetical order, so look at the top of the folder list for "Apache" who are the developers of OpenOffice. Or it may be lower down the list as "OpenOffice".

If you want a shortcut on your Desktop, just right-click the folder and drag it on to the Desktop. Release mouse-button and left-click "Copy here".

If you have only downloaded it then you need to install it first, and during the install process you will get a shortcut to it created on your desktop.

To find the downloaded program click on the 'start' button, then on your username and look in the 'downloads' folder..

You stated to have downloaded OpenOffice, but did you install the package?

What you downloaded is just an installer that must be executed to setup the executable applications.

For a large program such as this when you go to the download website do not Run the download but Save it somewhere instead. You then double click the downloaded file to install the program. This may or may not be what you did.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
