Please help - is it possible to create a back up disc from already installed software - my disc which is the genuine article - no fake has bust cheers

The simple answer is no.
Typically, installed software copies files into system directories and it's own directory so you would need to know where evrything was & to complicate matters, much of the software was probably compressed & extracted before installation.
If your CD is legal you should be able to quote a key to the manafacturer & get a replacement cheaply.

There are some uninstaller programs that will backup an application files and the registry entries. I've only used them very long ago on Win9x.
