Hi - a friend who does not have internet access asked me if I could download the latest free Acrobat Reader Version 7.0 and give to her on cd to install. I said okay but now find that all I get from the adobe site download is a 522kb file that must be an extractor that then uses my internet connection to install the rest.
Google searches havent really helped me find out if I can just get the full file or not.
Anyone know??
cheers!

On your PC download and run the 521kb file from Adoboe's site. When you do, it will download 3 files: Yahoo Toolbar(trash it), a trial version of PhotoShop Album (you can trash that too) and a copy of Adobe Reader 7 which is 19.8MB.
Just watch the installer for AR7 when it asks if you want to install the two others, using the Custom install, say no.

Version 5 is much smaller and has fewer bells and wistles but has fewer problems.
Try Foxit reader -it's also free, and only a 1Mb download. Being compact, it also doesn't take an age to load.
I agree with Rambler about FoxIt Reader. It is very good but the user wanted the Adobe 7 version. Bryan
