I have made a large website which has many folders. For an unknown reason I can no longer access or edit one specific folder within the website. The websites within this folder are still working and on the internet.
I can access and edit the rest of the site with no difficulty.
If anyone can offer me assistance as to how I can regain access to this folder I would really appreciate it.
Below I will list the various error messages I have recieved. Just a note I have already spoken to my network administrator and he can't seem to resolve the problem.
"Documents in this folder are not available. The folder may have been moved or deleted or network problems may be preventing a connection to the server. The web server is busy. Please try again."
"The server could not complete your request. Contact your internet service provider or web server administrator or make sure that the server has the Frontpage Server Extensions or Share Point Team Services from Microsoft installed."
"This server has encountered an internal error which prevents it from fullfilling your request. The most likely cause is a misconfiguration. Please ask the administrator to look for message in the server's error log."

You have to go back to the Navigation menu and reestablish the link to the page like it never existed.
I don't remember the exact steps, but about a year ago we had the same problem with a client's computer.

Can anyone else explain to me how I would go about doing what Larry suggests? I opened the navigation pane but I am not sure what to do next.
Just a note I did not mention before whenever I attempt to access this folder my MS FrontPage freezes up.
Thanks.

If you can go into the folder thru Windows Explorer (not thru FrontPage), copy the contents to new folder, then provide a new link in Frontpage from an existing page to the new folder.
I think that might do it.
I'm sorry I don't rmemeber the steps, but it's been so long.

I tried that but it did not provide me access. When I check the properties of the folder it says it contains 0 bytes and 0 folders. But I know the content still exists b/c you can still the view the webpages within this folder on the internet.
Any more suggestions?

I don't understand why it's locking you out if you change the name of the folder or move it's contents to a new folder.
Are you telling me you can't create any more new folders that Frontpage will recognize?
Larry
