I have Outlook that is attached to my sbcglobal.net email account but I want to forward all of those messages to my gmail account. I've tried changing the rule. I have sent many test emails to see if it works and it doesn't. I just recieve the messages in my sbcglobal.net inbox, which is in Outlook

Hi,
If you were provided with internet access to e-mail using a web browser, there is likely a link to a setup page that may allow you to control forwarding of your e-mail.
By forwarding at the e-mail server level, forwarding will occur even if your Outlook e-mail program is not running.
If you can't find the link to setup forwarding, call your ISP's help desk. They will be able to tell you if forwarding is available and how to access the setup page.
Most e-mail servers allow forwarding, as well as automatic response messages.
Regards

Just be careful and make sure that you understand how the forwarding is handled by your ISP.
One email provider I have uses "Store and Forward" where the forwarded emails remain in the original Inbox (that's a good thing) while another uses "Forward and Delete" which deletes the original email as soon as it is forwarded (IMO, that's a bad thing).
I have complained to the "Forward and Delete" email provider numerous times and they say they have "taken it under consideration".
