Hello Can someone please let me know if there is a formula to find a value in a lower portion of a spreadsheet.
example: I want to return a value in cell B1 that corresponds with a number in cell C1. The desired value is in cells B5:B10.
By the way the selections in cells B5:B10 are names.

Hi TurtlesRun I would guess that you might use the "Indirect" function but to be sure I would need to understand what values you have in the cells and what your desired outcome is. Can you clarify these things?
I'm as confused as AlteK. You have a number in C1, your return value needs to "correspond" (?) with that number and you have names in B5:B10.
I'm not seeing the connection between C1 and the names, nor do I understand what you mean by "corresponds".
Perhaps an example of your data would help.
