Sometimes when I get a document and try to edit it, it has some formatting that I can't seem to get control over. One example was a document I scanned with OCR software into a Word document. There were some errors so I tried to correct them manually. But the cursor wouldn't track where I needed it to go, sometimes it would move like there were columns from line on one line but not the next, sometimes the "hanging indents" would change with everyline, sometimes it would only go to double line spacing, etc, etc.
I've tried every different formatting option I could find with no luck.
Any of you genuises out there know a way to remove or control the master formatting so I can proceed?
At the rate I'm going I might as well retype the whole 200 page document...
I've seen similar things happen with some emails too...
