Comment:

1.how do i transfer styles i created from one computer with word xp to another computer in wordxp? where are all the styles stored?

2.is there a way under when i go to file and then open to enter 2 letters for example and then word will show me all the documents(files)that start with those 2 letters?

1. Style files can be stored almost anywhere, usually along side the documents they relate to. Use XP search for DOT files. The defailt location in in Files and Settings for each user. Application Data\Microsoft\Templates

2. Again use Windows and search for xx*.*. Or if you want to do it from file open, enter xx*.* in the files name. This will only search one folder at a time.

Hi,

To search for all DOCUMENTS using the windows search facility use the following

xx*.doc

Where 'x' is the letters you want

It will be quicker than using xx*.* , especially if you have thousands of files to search through.
