Comment:

Everytime I restart Outlook 2003 a 1kb file call extend.dat appears in the folder C:\Documents and Settings\DP\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook.

It appears to have been put there by Nero 7 and if I delete it, it reappears when I restart Outlook.

Does anybody know what it is and how do I eliminate it?

Thanks

Darryl

The extend.dat file is a binary cache of file extensions. It's part of Outlook and was NOT installed by, nor is it associated with, Nero.

Deleting it may cause problems. Just leave it.
