All programs under Office open fine with no issues. Once in a program (say Word), I can open any old .doc file. No problem here.
My problem occurs when I double-click on any .doc file within a directory. It does not open the file in Word 2010, but I am prompted to choose from a variety of programs such as Adobe, Microsoft Office 2010, but not Word itself.
Also, from what I see (when I bring up Default Programs> Associate a file with a program) my .doc files are associated with "Microsoft Office 2010". When I try to "change Program", Word is not even available.
How do I fix this "pain in the butt" issue?
