Hi , I would like to do the substractions from the cells which is in time format. Supporse I have 2 cells. one is Starting time (16:31:44) and the other is ending ime (16:32:45). If I calculate manually the the duration is 61 Minutes. How to do this using excel formula?. Is there any method in Excel? -Thanks

You would use the Sum function to subtract the start time from the end time.


=SUM(G6-G7) Assuming G6 contains ending time and G7 contains start time.

It's very simple. The autosum icon will generate the formula for you.
