|So I need a formula or a macro that will prorate an accrual of vacation days, with the following criteria:|
-if it is a new hire, the prorated amount for the rest of the year at the old rate
-if the date hired is in a previous year, the vacation days would be calculated with the old rate
-if there is an anniversary date that is inputted, the formula must prorate from the beginning of the calendar year to the day before the said date at the old rate; AND prorate from the said date and the remaining days of the year at the new rate.
-if the date hired is in a previous year, the vacation days would be calculated with the old rate for the year
-columns: date hired, anniversary date (where there would be a new rate started), old rate, new rate
I realize that there might be a need for 2 cells to accommodate a new hire and an anniversary date.
