Can you provide more information.
How are new work tickets created. Is there a button with a macro, or does the worker just 'Open' and 'SaveAs' etc. etc.
Does each worker have their own copy of Excel and a template.
Does everyone make work tickets from one copy of Excel
Where is this number - is it in a cell - if so which one, or is it part of the workbook name.
The more information you can provide, the more chance there is of getting a workable solution.
