Ill do my best to help you with this with the information given. First we need to find out where the file is opening the default on your system. To find this out follow the following instructions: Open Excel On drop down menu select Tools=>Options Now Select the General Tab
The 3rd text box up should say the location of your default.
Explore your computer to that location once you have found the file right click and uncheck "read only"
