Hi,

You guys seem to know what you’re on about, I know very little, so I would very much appreciate any help you can throw my way.

I need to generate a set of 8 whole numbers but with the constraint that the average of the set must equal 32 and the largest must be 54. I would like the output of the different possible combinations to be listed by rows (obviously with 8 columns) and without duplicates.

Now I know I could just work this out by hand, but I need to make lots of different sets, each with the same or similar constraints, but with different numbers (for example, a set of 7 numbers with the average being 28 and the smallest being 12). So if anybody could help me with the functions/script/code/anything I can play around with, I would be greatly appreciative.

Many thanks

Alex
