Excel IF Formula Help Needed

Specs: Windows 2007, Pentium 4 2GHz / 4 gigs
Hello, I need an excel formula to allow me to enter the specific name the search on it to provide a true or false result. I tried using the IF formula to say IF B2 = name, "Correct Name", "Incorrect Name".

That IF would be exactly like this:

=IF(B2="name","Correct Name","Incorrect Name")

If you put the word "name" in cell B2, this formula results in "Correct Name", othwise it results in "Incorrect Name".

Thanks for the quick reply it worked. I have one more formula I require and having problems trying to write. I have 2 columns I need to confirm contains the same document number the first column has 5999 the second column has it in an alpha numeric sequence 003D-999-02-C111. The document number I need to confirm is the same is the "999".

Please post your second question in a thread by itself, with a relevant Subject Line.
