I recently copied some numerical values from a web page to my excel worksheet, now i want to sum them all, whenever i use the Standard sum formula as '=Sum(number1, number2)' the result is always 0, and if i use the formula like '=H2+H3+H4' the result is an error namely "#value!". I don't know why is this happening, it is quite strange as i have been using excel for many years for my calculations but this has never happened.
Are the cells formatted as numbers?
I found the solution, actually all the imported data had a 'space' at their end as soon as i edited them by removing the spaces my formulae started to work, thanx anyway for replying
