I am inputting orders into a spreadsheet and am using formulas. I have a list of orders that I will be adding to every week or so.

I have their name in the first column, where they are from in the second and the order value in the third. I am using the LARGE formula to recognise the largest total as they are inputted and obviously automatically update the total as needed.

What I want to do is, as well as display the highest total in the chosen cell, also display the data before it on that row, ie the name and location columns. So whenever a new higher total is enetered, I want the 'Highest Total' cell to be updated with the new total as well as the relevant text.

Can this be done somehow? My formula knowledge is basic.

Cheers.

Excel is an amazing application and I am sure that what you want to do can be done but unfortunately, personally, I am unable to determine what it is you are wanting to do.
Or should I say that more specific details are needed in regard to column names and teh involved values.

=MAX(A2:A52) will show the largest number in the column starting at A2 through A52.
If the columns are arranged in a favorable way then you can use that within a VLOOKUP formula to produce the names you seek.

Note: Vlookup looks returns values from an adjacent column and to the right as a result of a lookup in a left column. eg. a lookup of a value in column A can return a value in the same row but in any adjacent column to the right of the looked up value. So the returned value would be in columns B thru Z and beyond.
