i got a mail from my freind containing microsoft excel documents, i downloaded it but its not opening, word files are opening and the eror is u dont have the permission to access plss help

What email client are you using? Is this indeed an xls file?
What version of Office is the sender using, and what version are you using?

YEA ITS NORMAL GMAIL, but now its happening with even normal software like tuneup utilities and spywares and microsoft xcel and i cant access ne of the windows excel files even the ones stored before
