Comment: I am trying to create a drop down menu list in excel, I have seen it before in word but don't know how to set it up and guess it is also available in excel. It's not a drop down from a cell it's a drop down from the mail toolbar ie. data, window, help, new tool bar. This new button will contain sentences that I can click on to insert in a cell rather than typing them in each time. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Andy

Reply: (edit)What you are referring to in MS Word is the Auto Text toolbar, which you activate through the [V]iew, [T]oolbar, and selecing the Auto Text entries. In word this comes with a few lines which most people use frequently. You can add your own. Perhaps I am wrong, but I don't think this is present in Excel. Programmatically you will be able to emulate this, and add your own lines. Now, out of curiosity, If you do this so often would it be worth to create a form or something like that? Good Luck. Reply: (edit)You might be able to do this with the Data Picker option. Insert, Object, DataPicker.
Don't know if you can customize it as much as you want though. Larry
