Excel - delete option grayed out

This computer is a P4 2.0 ghz w/256 mb Kingston 133 memory. It's operating system is Win XP Pro and Office XP and both have all the updates installed.
This person is using Excel and the Workbook has multiple worksheets. She wants to delete extra worksheets. She right clicks the worksheet tab and the delete option is grayed out. Does anyone know why this happened and how to correct??? Any help appreciated.

Have you checked tools / protection? maybe the workbook is protected.

That was it exactly. Thanks so much. She had done a Share protected and "Didn't tell me because she didn't think that would matter!" My mind wouldn't let me go there after she said she didn't change anything. Makes me feel dumb. Thanks.
