I am trying to do two things in one Excel Workbook.
I am trying to copy only Expired items (sheet 1 N2 = "EXP") to Sheet 2 D1.
The same worksheet lists up to 10 locations for one National Stock Number (NSN)(one per line - the NSN is the first field - A1 on each row) with a total of about 300 NSNs. The master worksheet has just over 1,000 rows. I am trying to copy just the first NSN entry on Worksheet 1 to Worksheet 3 which will enable me a printable list containing just one entry for each NSN.
If I am reading your questions correctly and you are doing this for a living then these are fairly basic functions within Excel and if I am reading them correctly then you should encourage your employer to set you up with a basic and intermediate Excel course as it would go a long way.
1. If your NSN number is in the first column and your "EXP" is in the second then copy colums A and B to Sheet2. Select columns A and B on Sheet2 and go to Data, Sort and select to sort by column B. Once sorted simply delete all that are not showing "EXP"
2. Copy column A to Sheet3. With your data in column A selected then go to Data, Filter, Advanced Filter. Use Filter the list in place. Your List range will already be selected. Place a check next to Unique records only. Click Ok.
