We developed a quoting spread sheet with pull-down menus and multiple tabs to detail the software, hardware and labor required to install a retail solution. The spreadsheet seems to have gotten unstable, it caused excel to crash. One tab is very troublesome. It can usually be “cured” by turning off automatic recalculation. It does not matter if it is Office 97, 2000 or XP or what the operating system is. How can this be fixed !!
I currently have a copy of the spreadsheet which I put several hour into, saved it and now I cannot open it. If the recalculation could be turned off in the .xls file, I am sure it could be brought into Excel again.
Any ideas or if you want a copy of the spreadsheet, PLEASE let me know !
