I am trying to compare two lists of cities in excel. I have them in alphabetical order, and each list has items that are not on the other, but also have duplications. I can't seem to figure out how to get a view, where they are side by side where they match (lining them up). Please let me know if anyone has any ideas! Thanks! EXAMPLE: 1
2 2
3 3
4
5
6
7 7
Your example is slightly confusing...maybe it's just incomplete. You said:
"each list has items that are not on the other, but also have duplications"
In your example, I see items that are on your first list that are not on your second, and I see the duplicates that are lined up. What I don't see are any items on your second list that aren't on your first.
Is your example correct or should it be something like the following. I moved the 4 as an example of something that is on the second list but not on the first.
