I am now working on one excel spreadsheet to edit a bit of changes done by someone before. The excel spreadsheet is done in this way. There is a range of number 1-10 for each material select that is assigned to each different colour. The user will input a number between the range and a colour assigned to it will appear in another box using if () condition formatting.
I encounter problem with the excel sheet when the material number 1, 2 and 3 or more are materials of the same type. Hence a different colour will be shown for the different number. I was hoping if anyone could help me in solving this problem such that the input selection of the material and the colour will be more flexible. Your help is very much appreciated! Please help me.

It might help if you could provide some examples of what you mean by "the material number 1, 2 and 3 or more are materials of the same type."

Show us some inputs and the desired outputs. Include examples that work and some that exhibit the problem you are having.

Sorry for the confused description derby, i just noticed that i got the wrong direction. Forget the problem i mention before. The actualy problem is actually this. For condition formating, my excel spreadsheet was done in 2003 version. however, i'm using the 2007 version now. Is it possible for me to input more than three condition format? For example the one now that i have,
When the user input a value of 1-3 in B20, a red colour(for 1) green(for 2) brown(for 3) will appear in F21 cell. If a value of of 4 to 7 is applied, another three different colour will appear in F22. Can i do such that the user input of 1-10 can have 10 different colours appear in the output of cell B20?
