excel cell color based on second cell color

Specs: Windows 7

Hi, can anybody help please have a list of items colour coded eg peoples names and on the right i have created a schedule and dates, using conditional formatiing, depending if this person is working the cells on the schedule turn yellow, this is fine however i want it to change so if x person is working the bar schedule for that persons name is a differrent colour. currently they are all the same colour. hope this makes sense

I assume that there is something on your spreadsheet that indicates that the person is working in the bar. You need to use that data as part of the CF rule. In other words, the person is working AND (s)he is working in the bar. It sounds like the CF rule for that situation needs to be an AND function.

Since you haven't provided any detail about what data is associated with each employee, we can't offer much more than that.
