Excel cannot complete this task.

Specs: Win 7, 2400 MHz Intel(R) Core
I have a user with a large spreadsheet that keeps getting the message "Excel cannot complete this task with the available resources " when trying to delete a row. Here is all the technical info that I have.

Windows 7 64bit OS
Excel 2007
3894MB RAM
2400 MHz Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU M 520 @ 2.40GHz

I have searched the forums and found a reference to KB955142. I downloaded and attempted to install but I get a message that the supported program is not found.

I have tried the usual, uninstall, remove registry keys, re-install. Still no help. I have even tried opening the spreadsheet on another machine running Win7 and Office 2010. I go through the same procedure and get the same message. I really think this is an error with the spreadsheet itself but I have no idea what or how to fix it. Obviously this contains critical data and would not be easily re-created so I am hoping someone out there has seen this and can help out.

Thank you in advance.

I have been able to find corruption within a spreadsheet by cutting it into small pieces until I find the section that causes the error.

I've been able to narrow it down to a single cell by playing with copies of the file until I found the bad cell and then just deleting the contents of the cell in the original and reentering it.

Good luck!
