Last week I was forced to upgrade from McAfee Version 6 to Version 8 because the definition files were no longer available for that version due to it now being too old.
Right click on the System tray icon for McAfee and select "About" to see which Version, Engine and .dat file you are using.
The current engine and .dat files are: Engine: 4.3.20 DAT: 4.0.4360 dated 5/12/04
I mention this because if your information is correct then you are likely using outdated virus protection and thereby not properly protected. Version 4x has been unsupported for at least two years (according to my best information).
Regards, Bryan
