Excel 2010, what function should I be using?

Specs: Windows 7
I am doing a Excel 2010 workbook for a dealership. Each sheet is a year and in each year is all the purchasers info, sellers info and trade info. My problem is I want excel to tell me when the car VIN # matches another in all worksheets. I tried the find and sort and that would take forever. It wouldn't let me do multiple and save and look through any new added data. I have thousands to put in. All the paperwork is upside down and I want this program to help me match so I make sure the person who bought a new car and traded an old car is matched with the person who bought the old car! lol Is it possible? I haven't used it in years! :( sorry

A =VLOOKUP() will access other sheets, but only one at a time.

So, from how you describe it, you will probably need some VBA code or macro to accomplish what you want.

And, sorry my VBA skills are minimal.
