I have a list (let say songs) in a spreadsheet in a single column in Excel 2007.
Every time I turn around half the list and gridlines are gone. I have to scroll up or down to get the list to refresh.
Why is this happening and is there a way to stop it?
Thanks for you help,
Debbie

The obvious answer is - stop turning around!
Could you be a little more specific than "Every time I turn around half the list and gridlines are gone"?
Does this happen when you first open the spreadsheet, or when you activate the window, or when you scroll from another location in the spreadsheet, etc.
A little more detail might help us help you.

Sorry about that.
Exp:
I can copy some text from another place like IE and then go to my spreadsheet. Click on the cell I want to paste the text to and the bottom half of the list will disappear sometimes along with the cell I want to paste to. I then have to go to the bar on the right and scroll up or down for the text to show up again.Or at times when I just go to another window and then back to the spreadsheet.
Or I can just save the spreadsheet and before I can work on it again I have to refresh it.
I'm not sure if I can insert a .jpg in this post but I could show you a before and after if I'm able to
Hope this helps,
Debbie

The only time I have seen a similiar situation is in Word 2003 after I have pasted a picture into a document. Sometimes the other pictures in the document will disappear and I have to minimize, maximize the document or scroll up and down to get the picture to appear again, etc.
I've always leaned towards it being a hardware/system problem (video memory or display driver) as opposed to an application issue (Word or Excel)
I know that none of this helps solve your problem, but I thought I would share my experience anyway.

Well it didn't solve it yet.
It at least it gives me a direction to go and look.
I will make sure that my video drivers are up to date and such.
I did run Spybot and Ad-Aware prior to posting so I knew it was not cause by spyware.
Thanks for your help and I will keep checking in here to see if anyone else comes up with anything.
Thanks
Debbie

Thank for your suggestion.
I went home and was able to update my video drivers and I’m no longer having the problem.
It’s greatThanks so much,
Debbie

Glad I could help!
And thanks for the Thank You note. There are many times that suggestions are offered and we never know if they helped or not. By knowing that a problem has been solved, we all learn something, even the person making the suggestion.
